Before the Structural Repair
The project began after deteriorated floor and framing conditions were uncovered in the kitchen. The affected area required structural correction before the larger renovation could continue, including evaluation of the compromised framing and the wall and floor conditions it was supporting.
During Construction
BeGS removed and corrected the compromised framing, reinforced the affected floor system, replaced damaged joists where required, and adjusted the supporting structure to restore the wall and floor to a more stable condition.
The work required careful field adjustments so the repaired framing could properly support the surrounding structure before the larger kitchen renovation continued.
Current Project Status
The structural rehabilitation progressed through removal of the deteriorated floor system and repair and replacement of the affected floor joists. Work was suspended at the floor-joist stage due to the client’s available project funding.
The kitchen renovation remains incomplete, and additional floor, wall, and finish work will be required when the project resumes.
